I am a portrait photographer and Photoshop painting artist located in Bellevue, Kentucky, just across the river from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. I specialize in professional headshots, classic portraiture, and pet portraits.
I continue to work hard to improve my photography to win awards at the state, district, and international level, and several of my images have been published, including in two Capture Cincinnati books and in the World Choir Games commemorative book.
Thirteen of my images have merited in the International Photographic Competition, sponsored by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), between 2015 and 2020. Five of those images were selected for publication in the prestigious Loan Collection and Showcase Books, and three of these images have won special awards.
While initially self-taught, since 2011 I have studied photography formally through classes, mentor programs, and workshops, having earned the designation of Certified Professional Photographer and the Master of Photography degree through the PPA. I am active in Kentucky and Ohio PPA affiliate chapters and the American Society of Photographers. I have studied digital painting since 2019 with several noted teachers.
Outside of photography, I am a classically-trained musician, having spent most of my first career as a middle school music teacher. I play French horn in several local community ensembles and was a member of the Christ Church Cathedral Choir in Cincinnati for many years. I also am active in several other ministries at the cathedrql.
My family currently consists of three rescue Pomeranians, Kira (17), Roxie (11), and Auggie (6), who are in charge around the house. Although the last to arrive on the scene, Roxie has taken over as the "Boss Lady"--a major little alpha personality.
