Connie Sanders is a portrait photographer and Photoshop painting artist located in Bellevue, Kentucky, just across the river from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.  She specializes in professional headshots, classic portraiture, and pet portraits.

She is a published photographer and has won awards at the state, district, and international level.  Her images appear in two Capture Cincinnati books and in the World Choir Games commemorative book.

Thirteen of her images have merited in the International Photographic Competition, sponsored by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), between 2015 and 2020. Five of those images were selected for publication in the prestigious Loan Collection and Showcase Books.  Further, three of these images have won special awards:  the Kodak Gallery Award at the state level (landscape) and two Fuji Masterpiece Awards (portrait, pet portrait) at the Southeastern district level of the PPA.

While initially self-taught, since 2011 Connie has studied photography formally through classes, mentor programs, and workshops, having earned the designation of Certified Professional Photographer and the Master of Photography degree through the PPA.  She is active in Kentucky and Ohio PPA affiliate chapters.  She also has studied digital painting since 2019 with several noted teachers.

Outside of photography, Connie is a classically-trained musician, having spent most of her first career as a middle school music teacher.  She plays French horn in several local community ensembles. Otherwise, you'll find her spending time with her rescue Pomeranians.
